RESPONSIBILITIES:
Contributes as a member of the Corporate HR as well as the Regional Senior Management teams towards the development of overall HR strategy for the company in line with business needs
Manages the implementation of all the HR policies within the region to ensure the provision of high quality, efficient solutions and interventions in line with that strategic objective pertaining to HR
Identifies regional business needs and develops strategies in collaboration with Corporate HR objectives to ensure the most cost effective utilization of available HR resources and development objectives in line with the needs of the organization
Manages the application of HR systems and procedures to ensure the needs of the organization are met in compliance with legislation
Recommends, develops and implements sound recruitment policies and procedures to ensure vacancies are filled with most suitable candidates in terms of job requirements and in compliance with the company and specific regional strategy
Recommends, develops and oversees the implementation of the company’s employment equity plan for the region in promotion of the transformation of the region in line with the company policy and objectives and in compliance with relevant legislation
Direct, after consultation with Corporate HR and Executives, all regional training and development to ensure that staff / students across the region acquire suitable skills that are accredited and recognized within the organization and technical / medical profession
Oversee, advise on and perform facilitation or dispute resolution on employee relations matters of regional impact to ensure consistent application of the company’s disciplinary and grievance policy/ strategy
Manage orientation and exit management programmes on a regional level in accordance with national guidelines to inform overall company’s attraction and retention strategy
Monitors the implementation of career development and performance management systems on a regional level to ensure compliance to the company’s policy and provide relevant management information to inform the company’s HR strategy
Prepare relevant monthly and annual reports for HR and Executives to ensure accurate and reliable management information that facilitates executive decision making
Trains and manages regional HR personnel to ensure they have the skills required by the organization and are able to achieve their performance objectives

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors Degree in HR related field
Minimum Five (5) years generalist HR experience
Knowledge of HR and ER legislation and current accepted practices
Management skills

Communication and reporting skills
Problem solving skills Conceptual skills
